In March 2014, both Truman Energy and National Grid licensed the WTM storage model and accompanying software. After this winter’s cash market blowout and volatility, the concepts of injecting and withdrawing each day based on the day’s cash price, as well as managing inventory to optimize future cash price opportunities, are becoming more apparent as the way to maximize profit.
